Our candles are poured exclusively with premium coconut apricot wax — a luxurious, 100% plant-derived blend sourced from renewable coconut and apricot oils. Unlike many competitors, even those positioned as "luxury," we never cut our wax with paraffin. This matters more than most brands want you to know. The industry's most common workaround is a soy-paraffin hybrid — marketed as "soy" but blended with petroleum-derived paraffin to reduce cost and improve scent throw on the cheap. Paraffin is a byproduct of petroleum refining and can release unwanted compounds like toluene and benzene when burned. Our coconut apricot formula avoids this entirely.

The performance difference is just as significant as the health difference. Coconut apricot wax has a lower melting point and softer molecular structure, which means it liquefies evenly across the entire vessel surface — edge to edge — from the very first burn. This eliminates the tunneling that plagues soy and paraffin candles, where wax clings to the sides, wastes product, and shortens burn life. With our wax, you use every ounce you paid for: a full, even melt pool, a velvety smooth texture, and a beautifully clean burn from the first light to the last.

Each Glory Strength candle is scented with high-end, toxin-free fine fragrance oils — meticulously curated to be cruelty-free, vegan, and completely free from formaldehyde, parabens, phthalates, mutagens, and carcinogens. We chose this path deliberately, and the distinction from essential oils is one worth understanding.

Essential oils are often marketed as the "natural" and therefore "safer" choice, but the reality is more nuanced. A single essential oil can contain dozens of volatile aromatic compounds, many of which are recognized allergens — substances like limonene, linalool, citral, and eugenol that the EU now regulates across more than 80 individual allergen entries. Essential oil compositions also vary from harvest to harvest based on climate, soil, and growing conditions, meaning allergen levels are inconsistent and difficult to control. Fine fragrance oils, by contrast, are precision-formulated under controlled conditions, allowing us to craft complex, layered scent profiles while deliberately excluding harmful or sensitizing compounds. The result is a richer, more consistent fragrance throw with a cleaner safety profile — luxury you can inhale with confidence.

There is an environmental consideration as well. Essential oil extraction is extraordinarily resource-intensive: it can take thousands of pounds of raw plant material to yield a single pound of oil, and the demand for popular botanicals has contributed to overharvesting, monoculture farming, habitat loss, and the endangerment of species like sandalwood and rosewood. Our fine fragrances achieve the same evocative depth without placing that burden on fragile ecosystems.

The wick is where most candle brands cut corners — and where many unsuspecting customers never think to look. Our candles feature 100% lead-free and zinc-free cotton wicks coated in natural vegetable wax rather than the paraffin coating used by much of the industry. Paraffin-coated wicks are cheaper to manufacture and can extend burn duration, but they introduce the same petroleum-derived compounds we worked to eliminate from our wax. Our vegetable-wax coating ensures a pristine, consistent flame that produces minimal soot, virtually no mushrooming, and no unwanted chemical byproducts — just a clean, steady light from start to finish.
